Fuu was rescued from being run over on the streets of Fukuoka in 2005. She had lost the use of her hind legs in the accident. She was operated on and rehabilitated, but could not walk like a normal dog. However, she could not walk like a normal dog. Even so, she recovered to stand and walk on her own while running and sometimes falling on her butt. It was around that time that I started photography. When I was taking pictures, I didn't intend to make art with them. I just looked at Fuu, who was reacting to what was happening in front of me as if for the first time, and snapped the shutter. In Fukuoka, Osaka, Tokyo, and Berlin, I stayed with Fuu for twelve years, and my photographs remained there as if I were just staring at her.
